A whole city block in Duboce Triangle
CPMC Davies occupies an entire block — roughly seven acres bounded by Duboce Avenue, Noe, 14th and Castro Streets. That's larger than people expect from a campus with a 45 Castro Street address, and it means the side of the block you're dropped on decides how far you walk. The garage is on Castro Street too, so both share the same approach.
The streets around it don't help: narrow, steep in places, lined with permit parking and streetcar tracks near Duboce. Visitors who drive spend far more time than they expect looking for a space, and then walk further than they planned. From SFO it's roughly 14 miles and 25 to 50 minutes, flat $65 each way.
A campus built for longer stays
Davies is the CPMC campus most associated with rehabilitation and neurological care — treatment measured in weeks rather than an afternoon, where families visit repeatedly over a long stretch. It also runs an infusion center, which brings its own rhythm of regular, scheduled returns.
Every one of those visits is the same flat $65 each way. There's no surge to dodge, so a standing weekly pattern already costs what a one-off costs. For an arrangement spanning many weeks, send a custom ride inquiry and we'll talk it through.
Visiting on a rotation
A rehab admission changes how a family travels. Instead of one trip it's a rotation — a sibling one month, a parent the next, someone flying in every other weekend. Those visitors are often older, often not app users, and often arriving somewhere they've never driven.
You can book each of those rides yourself from wherever you are. Put the traveler's name and mobile number in the notes and the driver texts them directly on landing; you get the confirmation and receipt. It's the same reason people book us for parents flying into Stanford Medical Center — no app, no account, no fumbling at the curb.
Naming the right CPMC
CPMC has several San Francisco campuses and they are not near each other. Davies is 45 Castro Street. The main campus is 1101 Van Ness Avenue. Mission Bernal is entered at 555 San Jose Avenue — not from its listed Cesar Chavez address, which is closed. Book against the address on your appointment letter, and if it's ambiguous, tell us the department and we'll work it out.

Every class is a flat rate, both directions. Exact fares and seating for your route are shown in the booking flow, confirmed before you pay.
Where do you pick up at Davies?
At the Castro Street side, where the main entrance and the garage both are. The campus fills a whole block bounded by Duboce, Noe, 14th and Castro, so if your department sits on a different side, name it when you book and we'll drop closer.
We visit every week. Is there a cheaper rate for that?
Every ride is the same flat $65 each way — there's no surge to avoid, so a regular schedule already costs the same as a one-off. For a standing arrangement across many weeks, send a custom ride inquiry and we'll talk through it.
Can you take a patient with limited mobility?
Yes, provided they can transfer into a regular car seat with help. Folding wheelchairs and walkers travel in the trunk at no charge. We don't run lift-equipped vehicles, so a rider who can't leave their chair will need a specialist service.
Is Davies the same as the CPMC hospital on Van Ness?
No. Davies is at 45 Castro Street; the main CPMC campus is at 1101 Van Ness Avenue, a couple of miles away; and Mission Bernal is entered at 555 San Jose Avenue. Book against the address on your appointment letter.
Parking, entrances and visiting rules change, and we're a car service rather than the hospital. For the current details, see the official CPMC Davies page. We keep this page updated as we learn of changes, but the operator is always the authority.
