A plan, not a schedule
A reference itinerary, not a fixed program: change the stops or their order within the hours and the area your quote confirms. Times hold unless the day changes them, and it usually does.

- The 1898 ferry terminal on the Embarcadero, now a hall of counters and stalls
- The Bay Bridge out the front door
- Thirty minutes on Nob Hill, free to enter, and we stop at the door
- The doors are casts of Ghiberti's Gates of Paradise from Florence
- Keith Haring's last finished work is in the AIDS chapel
- The labyrinth on the floor copies the one laid at Chartres around 1201 — meant to be walked, not looked at
- Thirty minutes on the slope at Alamo Square, opposite the row

Can we start from SFO on arrival day?
That is one of the most common ways this is booked. We meet you at the curb, tour, and drop you at your hotel at the end — the airport transfer is folded into the day.
Alcatraz?
Tickets sell out weeks ahead and the tour takes three hours, so it does not fit an eight-hour city day. We drop you at Pier 33 and pick you up after — ask and we build the day around the sailing.
Is there a guide?
No — this is a car and a driver, not a guided tour. The driver drives, waits and keeps the day to time, and this page says what each stop is. Inside a museum or a garden you are on your own, and we hold the car nearby.
