The day

A plan, not a schedule.

Every stop below is a suggestion your driver will happily rearrange from the front seat. Times are what the day looks like when nothing changes — and something usually does.

Who books this day

Tasting means not driving.

Anniversaries, birthdays, harvest-season weekends, and the four coworkers who came for a conference and stayed a day. The car exists for the same reason the tasting room does: nobody in the party wants to be the designated driver.

Tasting fees run $40–$95 a person and are paid at the winery. Tell us the style — big reds, sparkling, small family estates — and we book appointments to match before you land.

Not sure a full day is right?

Two of you, one region?

A six-hour Sonoma-only day costs less and is honestly enough for two tastings and lunch — ask for it by name. And if all you need is the ride up and the ride back, a one-way transfer each way is the cheaper answer; book that instead and keep the difference. Either one is a quote request rather than a booking.

Frequently asked

Do you book the wineries?

Yes. Send us the party size, the date and the kind of wine you like; we make the appointments and send the confirmations. Tasting fees are paid at each room — they are the winery's price, not ours.

Can we change the plan mid-day?

That is the point of a private car. Drop a stop, add a stop, sit longer at the one you like. The driver re-routes; the price does not move unless the day runs past nine hours.

Can we ship or carry wine home?

Cases ride in the back. The SUV takes several, the minivan takes a serious haul. Buying more than your baggage allowance, most wineries ship for less than the airline charges.

Is a designated-driver day cheaper?

If you already have a hotel in the valley and just want a driver for the afternoon, ask about hourly service instead — a car and driver held by the block. The day rate is for door-to-door days that start in the city. The block prices are on the hourly car service page.
