Campus pickups that actually work
Stanford's campus is big — 8,000 acres — and "pick me up at Stanford" means nothing to a driver. When you book, give us a specific spot: Tresidder Union, the Oval, your dorm's loop, or the main entrance of Stanford Health Care. The driver texts you when they're close, so you're not standing at the wrong roundabout watching a dot on a map.
The drive to SFO is about 25 miles, 30 to 50 minutes depending on 101 traffic. The Marguerite shuttle is free and great around campus, but it doesn't go to the airport — and the Caltrain-plus-BART route takes well over an hour with a transfer at Millbrae.
Graduation, move-in, admit weekend
The big campus weekends are exactly when app-based rides get ugly: graduation morning and admit weekend put thousands of families on the same few roads, and surge pricing does what surge pricing does. Our fares are flat year-round — book a week ahead for those weekends and the price is the same as a random Tuesday.
Moving out? A minivan takes a dorm room's worth of boxes and bags — seven seats, or fold them down for cargo. For sports teams, lab groups, and visiting delegations, send a custom ride inquiry and we coordinate multiple vehicles on the same pickup time — instead of four app rides that arrive at four different times.
Visitors, speakers, and family weekends
If someone is flying in to visit you — a speaker, a recruit, your parents — you can book the ride for them and the driver texts them directly at the arrivals curb. Heading to Stanford Health Care or Lucile Packard rather than campus? See our Stanford Medical Center car service page — hospital rides have their own rhythms and we treat them that way.

Frequently asked questions
Where exactly on campus will the driver meet me?
Wherever you tell us — Tresidder Union and the Oval are the most common spots. Put the building or landmark in the pickup field when you book; the driver texts you on approach so you can walk out to the curb.
How early should I book for graduation weekend?
A week ahead is comfortable; a few days usually still works. The price doesn't change with demand — booking early just guarantees the vehicle class you want at the time you want.
Can you move a group of 8–10 with luggage?
Yes — send a custom ride inquiry with your headcount and luggage, and we'll set up two vehicles (for example a minivan plus an SUV) with drivers coordinated on the same pickup time.
Can a department or lab pay for a visitor's ride?
Yes. Book with your own contact details, put the visitor's name and number in the notes, and pay online — the visitor just gets the driver's text. Receipts arrive by email for expense reports.
